Dada Life/Avalon Drama 11.5.10

i was on my way to Avalon for the Dada Life concert when things started to get crazy.

As me and my friend Ric exited the fwy from the 101n there was craziness to begin with. We were planning to a) win the CONTROL concert ticket giveaway via facebook OR b) buy a ticket there. However everything was really intense because it appeared to There was a helicopter
flying over the vicinity @ like 12:15ish as we pulled onto the street i can tell there's something wrong. While

waiting At the traffic light intersecting Vine and Hollywood blvd. no less than 7 cop cars go by full speed, on the

on the wrong side of the street, and sirens blaring. It was extremely frighten and alarming. Furthermore this all

happened before the light changed. Unfortunately my friend was being nosy and complicated and decided to

drive around the club and see what else was happening (against my advising). As we're driving around the area
cop cars are flying by literally it almost seems as though they're not touching the asphalt. When i found out

that the club was being shut down due to the VENUE selling too many tickets i was alarmed as to WHY

there were SO many cops driving so frantically and the helicopter scouring the streets. Many of the clubbers

were scattered and walking to their cars and trying to find their friends in the midst of madness. Within another
20 minutes police officers were shoulder to shoulder barricading streets, alleys, parking lots. It was a

complete mess. I understand certain events have a respective sensibility but the LAPD completely respond

out of context. The venue sold too many tickets and reports that no one was seriously injured. I was so

worried for people that were there because i was led to believe by law enforcement that the situation was out

out of control.
The people that attend these events are not the enemy its the venues and the organizations. I think the city of

Los Angeles needs to communicate with the organizations who throw the event and STOP STOP responding with violence
please. It is alarming, extremely upsetting to everyone, and unnecessary. However clubbers please be respectful
of the officers trying to do their job in assuring no one gets hurt.
Dada Life you owe us one ;)

California's Election 2010 General Govenment & Props

Before the final results
OK the race is on against all sides. This election appears to be one of the closets and ugliest races for voters.

-Jerry Brown and Meg Whitman have both launched campaigns slandering each other is several ways.

From name calling to lie-telling. 49% brown 46% whitman remarkably leaving  a record for 6% of other parties.

-Hot TOPIC Legalization of Marijuan for ages 21 & over is another extremely bloody battle.  its similar to

the alcohol prohibition, where many people want their freedom however; loop holes in the justice system has

purusaded many voters to swich sides. Also many medical marijuana want to keep their rights and don't feel

they are protected.

-Senator Barbra Boxer v Carly Fierina  Both canidates slandered by the other.

-prop 23 yes 57% 43 %no (ktla)

-Furthermore many people are declining the simple $18  maintenance state park fee i think because people are
skeptical about fees they're not used to.

Overall i feel this election bought to attention that people are voting with their wallets not with their political party.

Californians and Americans over all are voting for a solution to their problem no money in a failing economy.

Voters feel like they have been kept in the dark over the past decades and want the people who are voted to represent
them look out for their best interests.

And politicians needs to be aware that people need help, accuracy and a real plan to get everyone out of this financial crunch.
